OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024, Apply Online for 2629 vacancies

The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) as released the notification about the OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024 (IIE-40/2024- 1449 /OSSSC ). They encourage competent candidates to apply for various coveted positions to fill 2629 vacancies. This staffing program aims for the position of teacher under Government Schools under ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department.

The OSSSC’s hiring process usually consists of a written test, skill test, Document verification, and counseling to assess the individual’s serving ability. Hence, interested candidates can submit their online applications and application fees by the 10th of October 2024 as the online application portal will open 10th of September 2024. Eligibility Criteria in OSSSC Teacher 2024:

i) Sevak/ Sevika:

Passed +2 or its equivalent examination with C.T/ D.I.E.T training and Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) pass.

ii) Tribal Language Teacher:

Passed 10+2 Arts/ Science/ Commerce or its equivalent examination with CT/ D.I.E.T training and OTET pass and also have proficiency in the tribal language (Soura, Kuvi, Kui, Oram, Munda/Mundari, Sadri, Bhuyan, Ho, Santali, Juang, Desia, Gadaba, Kisan,Koya, Bonda) for which he/she is applying.

iii) TGT – Arts:

a) Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Commerce or a Shastri (Sanskrit) with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso hereunder) and Bachelor in  Education (B.Ed)/ 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Or,

Four year integrated B.A. B.Ed. with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso hereunder).

b) The candidate must have passed OSSTET.

iv) TGT  Science (PCM) & TGT Science (CBZ):

a) Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ B.Tech/ BE with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso hereunder) and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/ 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

b) Four year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso hereunder).

c) The candidate must have passed OSSTET.

v) Hindi Teacher:

a) Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as one of the electives/ optional/ pass/ honours subject and One of the following training qualifications:

• Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra.
• B.H.Ed., a course prescribed by NCTE.
• B.Ed. in Hindi a course prescribed by NCTE from a Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

Or,

b) Bachelor’s degree with one of the following qualifications:

• Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha.
• Shastri (Hindi) from Odisha Rastrabhasa Parishad, Puri.
• Snataka(Acquired by June-2005, the date upto which the temporary recognition has been granted) from Hindi Shiksha Samiti, Odisha, Cuttack.

And

One of the following training qualifications:

• Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra.
• B.H.Ed., a course prescribed by NCTE.
• B.Ed. in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE, from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

c) The candidate must have passed OSSTET.

vi) Sanskrit Teacher:

i) Bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit as one of the electives/ optional/ pass/ honours subject and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE.

ii) Shastri (Sanskrit) and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE.

iii) The candidate must have passed OSSTET.

vi) Physical Education Teacher (PET):

a) Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination and C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed from a recognized Board/ University.

c) The candidate must have passed OSSTET.
