Staff Selection Commission declared the result of Tier-I of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 on 05.12.2024.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the results of the Tier-I Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2024, on 5th December 2024.

1️⃣ In List-1, which pertains to candidates shortlisted for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), a total of 18,436 candidates were selected to appear for Tier-II [Paper-I and Paper-II (Statistics)].

2️⃣ In List-2, specifically for the post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II, 2,833 candidates were shortlisted to take Tier-II [Paper-I and Paper-II (Statistics)].

3️⃣ In List-3, which includes candidates eligible for all other posts, a total of 1,65,240 candidates were shortlisted for Tier-II [Paper-I].

In compliance with two recent orders from the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Principal Bench, New Delhi, the Commission has provisionally allowed an additional 525 candidates to appear in Tier-II of the CGLE, 2024. These orders include:

  • Order dated 16th January 2025 in OA No. 474/2025.
  • Order dated 17th January 2025 in OA No. 239/2025.

These candidates are being permitted to appear provisionally in Tier-II, which is scheduled for 20th January 2025, subject to the final outcome of the above-mentioned court cases.

As a result of these legal directives, the Commission has revisited the results of Tier-I for the CGLE, 2024. Consequently, the original cut-off criteria for List-3, as outlined in the result write-up published on 5th December 2024, have been revised.

  • As a result of meeting the specified cut-off criteria, an additional 609 candidates have been shortlisted to appear in Tier-II of the examination, which is scheduled to take place on 20th January 2025. These candidates have successfully met the required thresholds and will proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
  • Candidates included in this shortlist are advised to download their Admission Certificate for Tier-II of the examination. The certificates will be available for download starting from 18th January 2025 at 07:00 PM onwards, ensuring that all candidates have ample time to prepare for the upcoming examination.
  • For any further clarifications or inquiries regarding the examination, candidates are encouraged to contact the respective Regional Offices. These offices are available to assist with any questions or concerns candidates may have throughout the process.
