The recruitment process for the position of Senior Scientific Assistant in the Fishery Survey of India, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Mumbai, is being conducted as per the guidelines outlined in Advertisement Notice No. Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts, dated 26.02.2024. The post falls under Post Category No. WR15724 and has the following vacancy distribution:

Essential Qualification (EQ) Criteria:

Candidates applying for this role must meet one of the following academic qualifications:

✔️ Master’s Degree in Marine Biology, Zoology, Oceanography, Fishery Science, Fisheries Management, Industrial Fisheries, or Aquatic Biology in Fisheries from a recognized university.
OR
✔️ Post Graduate Diploma in Fisheries Science from the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai.

List of Ineligible Candidates

After a detailed review of applications and supporting documents submitted by candidates who were provisionally qualified in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts, held from 20.06.2024 to 26.06.2024 (excluding 22.06.2024 & 23.06.2024), the User Department has conducted a scrutiny process.

Based on this evaluation, certain candidates have been declared ineligible due to reasons specified against their names. The list of ineligible candidates is provided below.

Candidates are advised to review their eligibility criteria carefully and refer to the rejection reasons mentioned to address any discrepancies if applicable.

Important Notice for Candidates

Candidates who did not qualify in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) but have submitted copies of certificates and documents will not be considered for the ongoing recruitment process. Only those who have successfully cleared the CBE are eligible for further evaluation.
In case any candidate, who meets the prescribed Essential Qualification (EQ) criteria, has been inadvertently excluded from the list, they may submit a representation via email only to spsscwr@gmail.com. The subject of the email should be titled as “Representation for Recruitment to the Post of …….. Phase-XII/2024.” The representation must include complete details of qualifications supporting their eligibility for the post.
The deadline to submit the representation is 13th February 2025, by 5:00 PM. No emails received after this deadline will be entertained under any circumstances.
After completing the scrutiny process, a revised list of rejected candidates and provisionally eligible candidates will be published on the official website.
No other mode of communication (such as postal mail, phone calls, or physical submissions) will be accepted. Only representations sent via email within the stipulated timeframe will be considered.
