PROVISIONAL ELIGIBLE & REJECT LIST for the vacancy of Tourist Information Officer, Group ‘B’, Post Category No. NE11924.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), through Advertisement No. Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts, invited applications for the recruitment of Tourist Information Officer, Group ‘B’ (Post Category NE11924) in India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism.

Examination & Scrutiny Process

Following the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) conducted by SSC from 24.06.2024 to 26.06.2024, the results were officially declared on 30.08.2024. Candidates who qualified in the examination were required to submit hard copies of their application forms along with relevant supporting documents for further scrutiny. These documents were subsequently forwarded to the concerned user department for verification.

As per the assessment conducted by the user department, a Provisional List of Accepted Candidates and a Tentative List of Rejected Applications have now been released. This list, provided by the department through their official communication (Letter No. ITO/Ghy/Admn-2/1/2024 dated 20.02.2025), is made available for the information of all concerned candidates.

Submission of Grievances & Complaints

Candidates who wish to raise any grievances or objections regarding their application status may directly contact the user department via email at indtourguwahati@nic.in, with a copy marked to sscner.candidatecontact@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting any representation is 02.03.2025 by 5:00 PM.

⚠️ Important Note: Any complaints or requests received after the stipulated deadline will not be entertained or reconsidered by the department.

Important Considerations for Candidates

• The tentative list of accepted and rejected applications does not guarantee an automatic invitation for the Document Verification (DV) process.
• The final selection for Document Verification will be based on vacancy availability for each post category and merit position in the Computer-Based Examination.

Post Category NE11924 – Essential Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for the Tourist Information Officer (Group ‘B’) position, candidates must meet one of the following educational criteria:

✔️ Option I:

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute.
2. Diploma (Minimum 1-year duration) in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management from a recognized university/institute.

✔️ Option II:

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management from a recognized university/institute.
