The Essential Qualifications (EQ) for this position are as follows:
Matriculation (10th Standard) from a recognized board or institution and possession of a valid driving license for both light and heavy motor vehicles, with at least three years of experience in driving Diesel and Petrol vehicles.
A Certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Automobile Engineering/Motor Mechanic.
Successful completion of a Driving Test.

Age-limit and possession of Essential Qualifications (EQs)/Experience: 01.01.2024 and 18.03.2024, respectively.
For candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM status and reservation, unless otherwise specified, the reference date for eligibility is the closing date for receipt of online applications, which is 18.03.2024.
The preliminary scrutiny of applications, including the uploaded documents from candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted based on their performance in the Computer-Based Mode (CBM) Examination for Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts of the Driver-cum-Mechanic role, has been completed. This scrutiny was done based on the Essential Qualifications (EQs) and other criteria mentioned in the advertisement. The results of this preliminary scrutiny are detailed in ANNEXURE. It is important to note that this list is provisional and may be subject to revisions due to legitimate reasons such as clarifications from the User/Indenting Department, submission of equivalence certificates, or correction of data discrepancies.
Candidates who submitted their applications and documents through the online portal on the SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in) by the deadline of 24.09.2024, and who have any concerns regarding their eligibility or the grounds for rejection, can submit a grievance or representation. Representations, along with the necessary supporting documents, must be emailed to the Regional Office at recttsscer.wb-dopt@gov.in by 03.02.2025 (23:00 hours). When submitting a grievance, candidates must include their Roll No., Registration No., and Post Code, along with self-attested documents. Please note that representations submitted after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.
Finally, candidates who were provisionally qualified in the CBM Examination but failed to upload their applications and required certificates (e.g., age, EQ) by the stipulated date of 24.09.2024 have not been considered for the recruitment process.
