Declaration of Additional Result of Tier-I of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 – shortlisting additional candidates for appearing in Tier-II – regarding.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had earlier announced the result of the Tier-I of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2024, on 5th December 2024. This result initially shortlisted candidates across three categories for the subsequent Tier-II examination.
Initial Shortlisting Details
- List-1: A total of 18,436 candidates were shortlisted for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) to appear in Tier-II [Paper-I and Paper-II (Statistics)].
- List-2: 2,833 candidates were shortlisted for the post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II, also for Tier-II [Paper-I and Paper-II (Statistics)].
- List-3: A total of 1,65,240 candidates were selected for Tier-II (Paper-I) for all other posts.
Court Orders and Additional Shortlisting
In compliance with the orders dated 16th January 2025 in OA No. 474/2025 and 17th January 2025 in OA No. 239/2025, issued by the Hon’ble CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi, the Commission has provisionally allowed an additional 525 candidates to appear in Tier-II of CGLE, 2024. These candidates are subject to the final outcome of the aforementioned court cases.
As a result, the Commission revisited the Tier-I result and the category-wise cut-off marks for List-3 (candidates for all other posts). Based on this revision, additional candidates meeting the updated cut-off criteria have been shortlisted for Tier-II of the examination.
Additional Shortlisting Details
- An additional 609 candidates who have now satisfied the revised cut-off criteria have been shortlisted to appear in Tier-II (Paper-I) of the examination.
Important Information for Shortlisted Candidates
- The Tier-II examination is scheduled to take place on 20th January 2025.
- Shortlisted candidates can download their Admission Certificates starting from 18th January 2025, 7:00 PM, via the Commission’s official website.
