What’s a City Slip & Why It Matters

The exam city slip allows candidates to check their allotted exam city, as well as the date and slot/shift details for the exam. It’s an important document because:

• It enables you to plan your travel-time/commute (especially if the city is far).
• You’ll need to know your shift so you can arrive on time and be properly prepared.
• It often precedes the actual admit card, which you must carry to appear for the exam.

How to Download the City Slip

Once the link is live, follow these steps:

1. Visit the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in
2. Click on the Login tab on the homepage.
3. Enter your Registration ID and Password / Date of Birth (or as required).
4. Look for the link labelled something like “Exam City Slip / City Intimation Slip – CHSL 2025”.
5. Download the slip, check your city, date and slot, and print a copy for your records.

• For the first time this year, SSC offered candidates the option to choose their preferred exam city, date and shift within the selection window of 22 – 28 October 2025.
