Two Paths to Registration: Which One is Yours?

The NTA has simplified the process depending on your status from Session 1. Identify your category and act fast:

  1. The Veterans (Already applied for Session 1)

If you took the leap in Session 1 and want a second chance to boost your percentile:

  • No need to start over! Log in with your existing Application Number and Password.
  • Keep it simple: You only need to choose your Paper, Medium, and Examination Cities.
  • Final Step: Pay the examination fee for Session 2, and you’re good to go!
  1. The Newcomers (Fresh candidates for Session 2)

If you are starting your journey now:

  • Apply Afresh: Head over to jeemain.nta.nic.in and register as a new candidate.
  • Information Bulletin: Read it thoroughly! It contains everything regarding eligibility, timing, and the scheme of the exam.

The “One Application” Rule: No Room for Errors

NTA has issued a stern warning: Candidates are strictly prohibited from filling more than one application form.

  • One Candidate = One Application.
  • Multiple application numbers will be treated as UFM (Unfair Means).
  • The Risk: Even if discovered later, strict action will be taken, which could lead to disqualification.

Pro-Tips for a Smooth Registration

  • Contact Details: Ensure the Email and Mobile Number are yours or your parents’. NTA sends all vital updates via SMS and Email only.
  • Aadhaar & Documents: Keep your scanned documents ready as per the specifications in the Information Bulletin.
  • Fee Payment: Don’t wait until 11:50 PM on the 25th. Servers get busy; pay early to avoid transaction failures.
