Mission Profile: 192 Slots Across Top Trades

The Rail Wheel Factory is looking to train a fresh batch of 192 apprentices across various technical trades. Whether you are a Fitter, Machinist, or Electrician, there is a spot for you.

  • Total Slots: 192 Vacancies.
  • Trade-wise Breakdown:
    • Fitter: 85 Slots
    • Machinist: 31 Slots
    • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 08 Slots
    • Turner: 05 Slots
    • CNC Programming-cum-Operator: 23 Slots
    • Electrician: 18 Slots
    • Electronic Mechanic: 22 Slots
  • Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules, ensuring you earn while you learn.

 

Eligibility Snapshot: Who Can Apply?

Check your credentials before sending in your application (as of the notification date):

  1. Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
  2. Technical Qualification: Must possess an ITI (NTC) Certificate in the designated trade from an NCVT-recognized institute.
  3. Age Limit: Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age. (Relaxations: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years).
  4. Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit as per the standards prescribed for the Apprenticeship training.

 

The Selection Blueprint: Merit Matters!

Selection is transparent and purely based on academic performance:

  • Merit-Based: Selection will be made on the basis of the average of the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (with 50% minimum) and ITI.
  • No Exam/Interview: There is no written test or viva; your past hard work in school and ITI is what counts.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for original document verification at the Yelahanka factory.

  • NAPS Registration: It is mandatory for candidates to register on the Apprenticeship portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before applying.

  • Application Fee: A fee of ₹100/- is required (via IPO/DD) for General/OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted from this fee.
