Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has released its highly awaited Trade Apprenticeship Notification for 2025–26. Known as India’s premier manufacturer of advanced missile systems, BDL offers young ITI graduates a prestigious platform to begin their technical careers. With a legacy of producing state-of-the-art Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, Strategic Weapons, Underwater Weapons and launch systems, the organisation plays a key role in strengthening India’s defence capabilities.

This year, BDL’s Kanchanbagh Unit, Hyderabad, has announced 156 apprenticeship seats across multiple trades. For ITI candidates looking for hands-on industrial training in a top-tier defence PSU, this notification is nothing less than a career-defining opportunity.

BDL is inviting online applications for the following 156 posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961:

• Fitter – 70
• Electrician – 10
• Electronics Mechanic – 30
• Machinist – 15
• Machinist Grinder – 2
• Mechanic Diesel – 5
• Mechanic R&AC – 5
• Turner – 15
• Welder – 4

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have:

• 10th/SSC qualification, and
• ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade.
  Age limit is 14 to 30 years as of 08-12-2025, with relaxations for reserved categories as per rules

After selecting “Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh” (Reg. No. E05203600393), candidates must upload clear colour copies of their SSC, ITI marksheets and caste certificate.

• Hard Copy Submission Last Date: 12 December 2025 (only postal submissions will be accepted)

Selection Process

BDL will prepare a trade-wise merit list based on combined marks of SSC and ITI, giving equal weightage to both. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination before joining.

Training & Stipend

The apprenticeship duration is one year, and stipend will be paid as per existing government norms. Training will follow the standards prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council.
