According to him, Malti Chahar’s remarks were offensive and deeply personal, yet the show’s makers chose to ignore them rather than take any disciplinary action.
Baseer said he expected fairness and accountability from the show’s team, especially considering the sensitivity of the topic. “It’s not just about me — comments on someone’s sexuality shouldn’t be dismissed or treated lightly on national television,” he stated, expressing that such behavior sets a concerning precedent for reality television.
Calls Out Salman Khan and the Show’s Makers
Baseer further questioned Salman Khan’s silence on the matter. The host, known for addressing controversial issues inside the house during Weekend Ka Vaar, reportedly did not mention the incident in any episode following the remark. “When things like this happen, and even the host doesn’t take a stand, it feels one-sided,” Baseer commented.
He went on to emphasize that contestants deserve a respectful environment, regardless of personal disagreements or game dynamics. “Everyone signs up for challenges, but not to have their identity questioned or insulted,” he added.
