The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City for candidates appearing in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 – Session 1. This step is crucial as it helps candidates plan their travel and stay well in advance before the actual examination.

JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 – Exam Schedule

The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at multiple centres across India and 15 cities outside India.

Examination Dates:

  • 21, 22, 23, 24 & 28 January 2026
    • Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech)
    • Shift 1: 09:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
    • Shift 2: 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM
  • 29 January 2026
    • Paper 2A (B.Arch)
    • Paper 2B (B.Planning)
    • Paper 2A & 2B (Both)
    • Timing: 09:00 AM – 12:30 PM

 

Examination City Intimation Slip – Important Details

  • The Examination City Intimation Slip has been uploaded on the official website
  • Candidates can download it from 08 January 2026 onwards
  • Login using Application Number and Password

⚠️ Important Clarification

  • This slip is NOT the Admit Card
  • It only informs candidates about the city where the exam centre will be located
  • The official Admit Card will be released separately
