NIFT selection Process Step by Step

Shortlisting: The first step is shortlisting candidates based on their performance in the written tests (GAT and CAT). Only those candidates who qualify in the written tests will be called for the GD/PI round.

Call Letter: NIFT will send call letters to the shortlisted candidates via email or post, indicating the date, time, and venue for the GD/PI round.

Group Discussion: The GD round is usually the first stage of the NIFT selection process. Candidates are divided into small groups and given a topic to discuss. The topics can be related to fashion, design, or general topics like social issues, politics, etc. The objective of the GD round is to evaluate a candidate’s communication skills, leadership qualities, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work in a team.

Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the GD round are called for the Personal Interview round. Final Selection: Based on the performance in the written test, GD, and PI, the final selection list is prepared. The list will contain the names of candidates who are selected for admission to the various courses offered by NIFT.

NIFT Merit List 2023

The NIFT Merit List 2023 will become available after the official announcement of the NIFT result. The Merit List will consider the candidates’ ranks, marks, and categories when created.
