ONGC Announces 2623 Apprenticeship Openings Across India: Big Boost for Skill India Mission

In a remarkable step toward empowering India’s youth, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) — a Maharatna PSU and the nation’s leading energy giant — has rolled out a massive recruitment notification for 2623 apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

This initiative is part of ONGC’s ongoing mission to promote skill development and industry readiness among young professionals across India.

Key Highlights of ONGC Apprenticeship 2025

  1. Total Vacancies: 2623 apprenticeship seats across India.
  2. Sectors Covered: Northern, Western, Eastern, Southern, Central, and Mumbai sectors.
  3. Major Centres: Delhi, Dehradun, Vadodara, Mumbai, Chennai, Rajahmundry, Agartala, and more.
  4. Qualification Required:
    • ITI, Diploma, or Graduate (B.A/B.Com/B.Sc/B.Tech/BBA).
    • Trade certificates must be from NCVT/SBTE-recognized institutions.
  5. Age Limit:
    • Minimum 18 years, maximum 24 years as of 6 November 2025.
    • Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 10–15 years for PwBD candidates.
  6. Duration of Training: 12 months.
  7. Monthly Stipend:
    • Graduate apprentices – ₹12,300
    • Diploma apprentices – ₹10,900
    • ITI apprentices – ₹9,600 to ₹10,560
    • Trade apprentices – ₹8,200
  8. Selection Process:
    • Based purely on merit (academic marks) — no exam or interview.
    • Preference given to local/domicile candidates.
  9. Application Mode: Online only.
  10. Important Dates:
    • Notification issued: 16 October 2025
    • Last date to apply: 6 November 2025
    • Result announcement: 26 November 2025
