Preliminary Scrutiny Status for the vacancies of Tourist Information Officer, Post Category No. ER14824.

The Preliminary Scrutiny Status of candidates for the recruitment of Tourist Information Officer for 06 vacancies [(03-UR, 01-ST, 01-OBC, 01-EWS, including (01-HH)] in India Tourism Kolkata, under the Ministry of Tourism, advertised via Post Category No. ER14824 under Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts is now available for review.

Candidates are advised to refer to Advertisement Notice No. Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts, dated 26.02.2024, which details the vacancy for the position of Tourist Information Officer within India Tourism Kolkata, Ministry of Tourism.

The Essential Qualification (EQ) for the position is as follows:

• Option I:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
  2. A Diploma (minimum one-year duration) in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management from a recognized university or institute.
• Option II:
  A Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management from a recognized university or institute.

The crucial dates for determining eligibility are:

• The cut-off date for age limit and possession of Essential Qualifications (EQs) or Experience: 01.01.2024
• The cut-off date for claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM status and reservation (if applicable) is the closing date for submission of online applications, 18.03.2024.

The scrutiny of the uploaded documents submitted by candidates provisionally qualified in the Computer-Based Mode (CBM) Examination for Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts for the post of Tourist Information Officer has been completed. This was based on the Essential Qualifications and other recruitment criteria as stated in the Advertisement Notice. The preliminary scrutiny status is now available in the attached ANNEXURE. It is important to note that candidates who were provisionally qualified in the CBM Examination but failed to upload the necessary documents, such as certificates verifying their age and Essential Qualifications (EQs), by the specified deadline of 24.09.2024, will not be considered for the recruitment process.
