Mission Profile: 192 Technical Slots Available

The RWF is looking to train a diverse group of technicians across various essential trades.

• Total Vacancies: 192 Slots (Tentative).
• Trade Breakdown:
  • Fitter: 85 slots
  • Machinist: 31 slots
  • Turner: 5 slots
  • Electrician: 18 slots
  • Electronic Mechanic: 22 slots
  • CNC Programming-cum-Operator (COE): 23 slots
  • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 8 slots
• Reservations: The recruitment includes vertical reservations for SC, ST, and OBC, along with horizontal reservations for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen (ESM).

Stipend & Benefits: Earning While Learning

During your one-year apprenticeship, you will receive financial support as per the Apprentices Act, 1961:

• Monthly Stipend: * ₹12,261/- for Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, and Mechanic (Motor Vehicle).
  • ₹10,899/- for CNC Programming-cum-Operator (COE).
• Hands-on Training: Practical exposure to railway manufacturing processes, ensuring you are industry-ready.

Eligibility Snapshot: Do You Qualify?

Before applying, ensure you meet the following essential criteria:

1. Academic Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. Technical Qualification: Must possess an ITI (NTC) certificate in the designated trade from an NCVT-recognized institute.
3. Age Limit: Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years as of March 31, 2026. (Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD).
4. Registration: Candidates must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal: www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

How to Apply: The Physical Submission Process

Unlike many modern applications, this requires a physical submission. Follow these steps carefully:

• Step 1: Download the prescribed application format from the official website: www.rwf.indianrailways.gov.in.
• Step 2: Fill in the details in your own handwriting using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
• Step 3: Attach self-attested copies of your 10th marksheet, ITI certificate, Caste certificate, and a crossed Postal Order for ₹100/- (General/OBC only; SC/ST/PwBD/Women are exempt).
• Step 4: Enclose two self-addressed envelopes (11″ x 5″) with ₹5/- postage stamps and mail the packet to the Personnel Department at RWF.
