As per the official notice (No. WBPRB/NOTICE – 2026/34), the countdown has begun:

  • Interview Start Date: Interviews will commence from January 29, 2026.
  • e-Call Letter Download: You can download your hall tickets tentatively from January 24, 2026.
  • Where to Download: Visit the official portals at prb.wb.gov.in or wbpolice.gov.in.
  • What you need: Keep your Application Sl. No. and Date of Birth ready to log in.

 

The Ultimate Document Checklist (Don’t Miss These!)

The board is very strict about documentation. You must carry Originals along with a set of Self-Attested Photocopies.

  • Proof of Age: Madhyamik Admit Card or Certificate.
  • Education: Marksheet/Certificate showing you passed Madhyamik on or before 05.04.2024.
  • Caste Certificates (SC/ST/OBC): * OBC-A/OBC-B certificates must be issued on or after 01.01.2023.
    • Older OBC certificates must be renewed/revalidated; otherwise, you will be treated as General.
    • For newly added/interchanged categories, certificates issued in 2025 are required.
  • EWS Candidates: Income and Asset Certificate valid for 2023-2024.
  • Special Categories: * Ex-Servicemen: Discharge Order/PPO Book.
    • Identity: Certificates for Third Gender persons.
    • Community: Gorkha, Garhwali, or Rajbanshi community certificates.
    • Police Insiders: Enrollment certificates for NVF/Home Guards/Civic Volunteers/Village Police.
  • Government Employees: A fresh No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current Head of Office.

The WBPRB has issued a stern warning: The selection process is 100% transparent and merit-based. > “Beware of racketeers, touts, or unscrupulous elements promising jobs for money. They are fake. Trust your hard work, not false promises.”
