Are You Eligible? (The Checklist)

Before you click ‘Apply,’ ensure you meet these non-negotiable criteria:

  • Citizenship: Open to Indian Citizens, OCI, and PIO candidates.
  • Academic Foundation: You must have passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary / 2nd PUC or equivalent.
  • Subject Combination: Physics, Mathematics, and English are compulsory. You must have an optional fourth subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
  • The 45% Rule: General Merit candidates need a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka State).
  • Single Board Rule: All subjects must be passed from a single board. You cannot mix marks cards from two different boards (e.g., CBSE and NIOS).
  • No Diploma Entry: Diploma holders are not eligible for the UGET, as there are no lateral entry provisions via this exam.

Critical Warnings for Aspirants

  • The Zero Rule: While there is no specific “pass mark” for the rank list, any candidate obtaining ‘0’ (Zero) marks in the test will not be assigned a rank.
  • One Official Source: Only trust www.comedk.org. Beware of fraudulent websites; this is the only official portal for applications and updates.
  • Correction Limits: The edit window in April only allows you to change select fields. Ensure your primary data (Name, Email, Phone) is 100% accurate the first time.

Pro-Tips for Success

  1. Take the Mock Test: Starting Feb 18th, use the official mock tests. COMEDK is a time-pressured exam; speed and accuracy are your best friends.
  2. Download your TAT Early: The Test Admission Ticket (TAT) is mandatory for entry. Download it as soon as it releases on April 29th to check your venue details.
  3. Watch the Clock: Most deadlines (Application end, Correction start) happen at specific times like 12 Noon or 2 PM. Don’t wait until midnight of the last day!

The COMEDK UGET is a gateway to high-quality education and a thriving tech career. With the exam scheduled for May 9th, you have plenty of time to gear up.
