The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the notification for IAF Agniveervayu Musician Recruitment 2024 under the 01/2025 intake scheme. They encourage competent candidates to send their applications for the coveted position in the Indian Air Force.

This staffing program aims to fill Indian Air Force Musician post. Required Eligibility of Indian Air Force Musician Vacancy 2024 (Read the PDF for more details)

Name of the Post- Indian Air Force Musician 2024.

Required Eligibility Criteria:

i) Only unmarried candidates (male & female) will be eligible for enrolment.

ii) Candidates born between 02 January 2004 and 02 July 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible.

iii) Passed Matriculation / 10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt. recognized School/ Board.

iv) Music Ability-

a) Candidates must have proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo, pitch and singing one
complete song. They should be able to perform one preparatory tune and any of the notations i.e. Staff
notation/ Tablature/ Tonic Solfa/ Hindustani/ Carnatic etc. Candidates must be able to tune individual
instruments (in case of instruments require tuning) and match unknown notes on vocal or instruments.

b) Candidates must have proficiency in playing any one instrument from list A or B.

c) Musical Experience Certificate: 

Grade 5th or equivalent or above in one instrument from a recognized music institute such as TCL or RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI, Berklee School of Music etc.

Or,  Diploma or equivalent in the field of music for candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognized University.

Or, Certificate of participation/ awards presented at various events. For such candidates’ performance/ playing of blowing instruments with staff notation as mentioned in Educational QRs.

6. Mandatory Medical Standards. 

(a) Height:

• For Male candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 162 cms.
• For Female candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms. For candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cms.

 b) Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.

 c) Chest:

• For Male Candidates: The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed. Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cms.
• For Female candidates: The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed with the minimum range of expansion of 05 cms.

d) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

e) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

g) Corneal Surgery: (LASIK/RK/PRK) is not acceptable.

h) General Health: Candidate should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical
standards and should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He/She should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidates shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

(j) Gynaecological Examination (For female candidates): The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices and the perineum, any evidence of stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse outside introitus.

(k) Gender: Any candidate if found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as
evident on external physical examination, will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.

l) Pregnancy (For female candidates): Any candidate, if found pregnant shall be disqualified and her candidature will be rejected.
